The U.S. Department of Defense’s new menu options for MREs for the troops can best be described as “Around the World”. They are looking to include Mediterranean, French, Asian and Mexican. However, don’t panic! All traditional American good eats are still included. It must be really tough to try to develop food choices that will appeal to so many different types of people. This segment is filmed on a U.S. military base in Afghanistan and is an excellent introduction to the MRE.
